Template Letters for you to use

How to complain

To progress your complaint with a particular business you will need to raise that issue with them in writing. We have developed template letters for you to use or copy and adapt to your particular concern.

To obtain a tailored template letter please click the relevant TEMPLATE LETTER FORM link below. The form will open in a new window and you will need to complete details of your complaint.  Once submitted a tailored template letter will be sent to you by email containing the text and a PDF.  Each form has been designed to create a bespoke letter, tailored to your situation and is signed with a stylised version of your signature ready you to send to the business. You may find it helpful to have to hand the information you will require such as the trader’s details, an outline of the issue, the contract details including the cost of goods and postage (where applicable) and your email address.   The email address is required solely to provide you with the copy of the tailored template letter and is not used for any other purpose.  None of your data is retained by Delivery Law UK. 

In all cases:

  • Keep a copy your letter
  • If you send it by email, keep a copy; obtain a delivery and read receipt
  • If you send by post, obtain proof of posting and ideally send recorded delivery
