Delivery charges dispute

You have PASSED the THREE tests

<  go back to self-help

The right to REDRESS is not automatic but if you can show you meet the THREE tests then you can make a claim.

Redress can take different forms so for instance if you had entered into a home improvement contract that was based on false information then you could  use your rights to UNWIND the contract or even seek DAMAGES.  However, in the case of delivery charge issues redress is likely to involve seeking an appropriate DISCOUNT on the price paid.

A consumer with a RIGHT TO REDRESS may bring civil court proceedings to enforce that right.  Alternative Dispute Resolution routes may be available and if you paid with a credit card and the total price including delivery was over £100 then you can make a ‘equal liability’ claim against your credit card provider.  If that route failed you could go to the Financial Ombudsman Service.  We have put together some further guidance on how you can proceed with a claim.  Click below to find out more.
